SONG FOR THE MUTE x ADIDAS 005
The latest collaboration between Song for the Mute and adidas Originals is a study in contrast—solitude meets warmth, past meets present. Inspired by the rhythms of nomadic life, ADI005 channels the textures of pastoral landscapes and the poetry of imperfection.
At its core are two reimagined silhouettes. The Superstar 83 blends vegetable-tanned suede, full-grain leather, and rich tonal hues, drawing from elements like charred toast and fresh milk. A custom-moulded shell toe, antiqued metal eyelets, and subtle branding transform the icon into an artifact of time. The Adistar Cushion adapts these ideas into a technical form, layering nubuck suede, pony hair, and open mesh to reflect movement through the landscape—shaped by wind, dust, and time.
The apparel continues this ethos, with structured yet organic forms. A reimagined tracksuit features gold piping and contrast panels, while shepherd-like knits and embroidered tees embrace subtle textures and timeless silhouettes.
Captured by Gabriel Silver Parker and styled by Stephen Mann, the campaign unfolds like a dream—models drifting through fractured compositions that blur reality and memory. Inspired by Goat Yoga, the imagery plays with balance and movement, reflecting the gentle tension between rootedness and exploration.
ADI005 does not chase newness—it embraces the beauty of the well-worn, the lived-in, and the deeply familiar. A collection shaped by time, echoing the stories we carry.
