Louis Vuitton Delivers Maximalism at Paris Fashion Week

Louis Vuitton made a bold statement at Paris Fashion Week, transforming the Cour Carrée du Louvre into a striking runway inspired by the brand's iconic trunks. A star-studded front row featuring Lisa from BLACKPINK, Zendaya, Cate Blanchett, and the Haim sisters set the stage for an exciting homage to the brand’s heritage in its Spring 2025 collection.

Nicolas Ghesquière, the house's artistic director, embraced a dramatic 18th-century-inspired silhouette, kicking off the show with strong-shouldered jackets reminiscent of historical doublets, paired with edgy biker shorts or knee-length breeches. As the show progressed, Ghesquière pushed boundaries with geometric designs, such as a daring trapezoidal minidress paired with a single pant leg. He also played with bold color blocking, scarf-inspired looks, and intricate patterns.

Highlights included ruffled polo dresses splashed with vibrant '80s prints and minidresses adorned with striking 3-D embellishments, showcasing Ghesquière’s flair for blending tradition with contemporary maximalism. Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2025 collection was a true celebration of the brand's legacy, with modern twists that keep it at the cutting edge of fashion.
